I began writing this EP in August 2022 while living in London, and at the time, I had no intention of starting a new project. I had just started releasing songs for my debut EP 'My Own Expectations' and was beginning my journey as an independent artist, having just graduated from university. It was an overwhelming period where I felt lost and unsure. Unlike my previous work, this was the first time I wrote without thinking about grades or feedback from tutors. I was simply writing for myself, expressing my emotions authentically, and the first song I wrote was 'I Know You Know.'
By 2023, I decided to commit fully to creating this second EP, ensuring that every song would be truthful and raw. I’m happy to say I’ve stayed true to that vision. This EP is very different from my previous work, influenced by a wide range of artists like Grace Davies, Thomston, Noah Cyrus, Gracie Abrams, Julia Michaels, The Weepies, and even Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Lake', among others.
I’m incredibly proud of this project—not only because I wrote and produced it entirely on my own, but because it represents my most honest work to date. I truly hope you enjoy 'I Know You Know'. Thank you.
